Distinctive Numbers of Preference Shares

[Taruna Amarpuri]

Dear Members,

My query is that if a company allots preference shares to a person for the first time, the distinctive numbers will be continued after the equity shares distinctive numbers or will it start afresh from 1? I am confused. Please can any one tell me?

it is fresh numbering

 

not continuing from Equity

 

in factit is better to main tain two ROM one for Equity and second for Preference shares.

yes i agree with kameswara, just maintain two no. one for equity and other for preference.

Fresh numbering. In fact, my suggestion is that you start from P00001 to Pxxxx to distinguish that these represent the preference shares

Dear, Your company has alloted the share first time, so must give the distinctive numbers in started, not in continuation of Equity shares.
