single name in DIN

While applying for the DIN of an applicant, it was found that there is single name of the applicant as "DEEPALI" on PAN Card. When i checked the MCA FAQ regarding Single name, it stated as:

"If the name of a person does not have a last name, then his/ her father's first name should be filled in the mandatory 'Last Name' field. In such a case, an affidavit duly notarized by a Notary Public should also be submitted along with DIN application."

While going through the DIN Help it was as follows:

"1 (a)-(c) Enter your full name.
It is mandatory to enter either applicant’s first name or applicant’s last name. However, in case of Indian
nationals, single name shall be allowed only in case same single name is there in Income tax PAN.
Please note that name as provided in the DIN application should be used for all correspondence with
MCA."

Means in FAQ it ask to use father's first name as last name along with affidavit attachment but in DIN Help, it says that if PAN card consist only the Single name of Indian Nationals, we can use the Single name.

And even while uploading the DIN 1, If we put father's first name as applicant's last name, then while verification, the error occurs that the name of applicant does not match with Income Tax Data Base.

So please provide the solution what to do in such case.

If possible you get the PAN application from the Client and try to give that name.

In  PAN Card you can see his single name (like (b) Option) ,If possible you get the PAN application from the Client and try to give that name.

Dear Member,

If you want to take DIN with single name, thn you can proceed with the
same also.

If you see instruction kit, it says:
1. (a) - (c) -

It is mandatory to enter either applicant’s first name or applicant’s
last name. However, in case of Indian nationals, single name shall be
allowed only in case same single name is there in Income tax PAN.

Otherwise you need to file an application with IT Dept. for PAN
correction and thn file DIN 1.

If you are taking DIN for incorporation of LLP [DPIN], thn you need to
apply for the PAN correction first and thn file DIN 1because at the
time of incorporation of LLP you need to associate Designated
Partner's DSC with DIN in website. While associating DSC with DIN,
both Designated Partner's and his/her Father's first and last name is
mandatory and LLP system verifies the provided name with DIN and DSC.
