Please someone guide me on how to pay stamp duty on the share transfer deed (SH-4) in Mumbai?

Stamp duty of 0.25% of consideration has to be paid on transfer of shares. For payment of stamp duty on share transfer, share transfer stamps are purchased from post office.

Thank you for your reply. But my question is different, I know the stamp duty rate applicable. I want to know the procedure for paying the same in Mumbai as share transfer stamps have been discontinued in the state of Maharashtra since 2002.

In mumbai, share transfer stamps are not obtained from post office, one has to Simply arrange share transfer stamps from any stamp vendor in Mumbai.

Yes you need to do stamping from Mumbai stamp office. You need to pay online and then go to stamp office for franking.
