Whether form 3 is required to be filed with form 4 in case of change in designation from partner to designated partner in LLP?

Hi,

I had received this mail from mca, hope this helps

Request you to read the below steps carefully and then upload accordingly
1. For (appointment/cessation), Please file form 3 and form 4 linked filing. 
2. For (change in nominee/change in designation), please file form 4 individually. 
3. For (change in business activities/partner contributions and % sharing/change in details pertaining to serial no 8 to 17), please file form 3 individually.
4. If you want to do both appointment/cessation as well as change in designation/change in nominee, then you have to file 
   (i). FORM 3 and 4 linked filing with appointment/cessation
   (ii). Form 4 individual filing with change in designation/change in nominee 
   Please note that 2 different filings are to be done mandatorily

Please note that 
1. If you are filing FORM 4 for only Change in designation/Change in name/Change in address/Change in address of body corporate/Change in name of body corporate/Change in name of Nominee/Change in address of nominee, you can file the form independently.
2. If you are filing FORM 4 for only Appointment/Cessation(or both), then you need to file FORM 4 along with FORM 3 i.e. linked filing is to be done
3. If you are filing FORM 4 for Appointment/Cessation(or both) as well as Change in designation/Change in name/Change in address/Change in address of body corporate/Change in name of body corporate/Change in name of Nominee/Change in address of nominee, then you need file FORM 4 of appointment/cessation along with FORM 3 as a linked filing and file a separate FORM 4 independently for Change in designation/Change in name/Change in address/Change in address of body corporate/Change in name of body corporate/Change in name of Nominee/Change in address of nominee . Also to be noted that all the mentioned STP cases can be filed in a single Form 4 for a particular LLPIN.
