Franking of Share Certificate

Dear Members

In one of the company whose registered office is situated in Pune, have issued a share certificate to one of its shareholders. No of shares are 116666 at a nominal value of Rs. 10. Now we need to pay stamp duty. Can someone help me with this. How to pay the stamp duty ? Is franking of share certificate is different from paying stamp duty? What procedure we need to follow?

Please advise on the same on an urgent basis.

In Pune, the process is very simple. Just visit Western Maharashtra  Development Corporation (WMDC) which is located at Shivaji Nagar. Submit the share certificate & write on the top with pencil regarding the amount of stamp duty, pay cash. He will frank & give it to you within 10 minutes.

Online will take time as you need to pay via Gras & then take the share certificate to them for franking. So this is faster. You have to just go over the counter & get it done. It will hardly take a few minutes.
