Can a Company Secretary and an Advocate be a designated partners in a LLP?

Dear All,

We want to incorporate a LLP in which the designated partners will be a CS and an Advocate. Is it possible to make such a LLP and will they be allowed to do attestation work and all other works which is being carried as an individual practice.

Please reply at the earliest.

It may not be possible to do attestation work and all other works which is being carried as an individual practice, as there are restrictions imposed by ICSI as well s Bar Council of India for professionals to practice together.

similarly there is restrictions for a CS / CA / CWA member to practice under a common platform.

May be for some other purpose - other than core practice areas - Professionals can join together , subject to seeking permission / approval from their respective Institutes.
