Dear Friend,

There are two eleigbility criteria for appearing National Eligibility Test:

1. General Gategory Minimum 55% in the Post Gradution and for reservation category 50% in the PG.
(Or)
2. ACS, ACAI, ICWAI- should have passed with 60% marks.

For appearing NET, if you would have passed with 60% is enough and no need to have Under graduation.

Dear Renuka,

If u go by the minimum qualification prescribed for Management .They are asking  for first class graduate + professionally qualified.

And there will be so many members who had secured 1st div at their graduation level and very few who had scored 55% or more at CS level.

Dear renuka,

I have gone through the regulations and wherever the reference of CA/CS/CWA  has been given the language is as follows:

First class graduate AND professionally qualified ca/cwa/cs of the concerned statutory body.

Dear Friend,

EXTREMELY SORRY FOR WRONGLY REPRODUCING THE RULE. YOUR RIGHT that a candidate with First Class in UG with CA/CWA/CS qualified can appear for NET.

Thanks for Enlightening.

Dear All

there is no need to appear for NET Exam as per the UGC Guidelines,
there is direct recruitment for the post of professors or assistant
professors if read regulation carefully...

Hi all,

the point no. 4but it says a professional who has made a good repute in this profession can opt for Phd.
this means a fresher CS who wishes to go for Phd will have to follow the  normal route that is appearing for NET...

Further i also have a query which i shared earlier on this forum...
ICSI has a MOU with various universities which are providing direct admission to Phd. in law or commerce.
I wish to know the credibility of these degrees.i have following questions in mind:
1. what will be the duration/
2.the govt jobs in which they ask for LLB or jobs where its mentioned CS+ LLb preferred will it be sufficient for those?i am also planning to pursue Phd and i know its a serious thing and i dont want to waster my energy and time and brains on something which will later on prove to be not useful.becuase when i did CS i was told it is enough and nothing else is required and now i realize when i read the vacancies that LLB is also required.so  i want to do a complete nutshell course which will pay for my efforts not only in terms of money but also in terms of reputation and govt job.

views of all members are invited..
Kind Regards
Sakshi

Dear All,

it is not easy to get a job of asst. Professor then how a fresh or experience cs can get a job ? it requires more skills !!
UGC Scale is not an easy one to get..  Getting good marks in NET is considered as JRF it means the UGC will pay you 20,000 Rs. every month to complete PHD do a fresher CS has this option, more than this CS is just an entry pass to get PHD entrance not PHD program.. Practically it is very difficult to find a good guide for commerce & mngt..
