Documents required for obtain DIN for a Foreign National

Hi Friends,

 

Can anybody provide me a list of documents required for the DIN application for a proposed Director who is a Foreign National.

Dear Disha

 

Following documents are required:

 

1. Identity Proof like Driving Licence, National ID card etc

2. Address Proof showing his name as apearing in the Identity proof

3. Passport

4. Passport size foto

 

If the applicant is having Indian Valid Multiple Entry VISA indian professionals (CA, CS...) can certify the documents. Otherwise it has to be notarised by the notary of the home country of the applicant.

 

Further if the applicant is already a director in any indian company the MD/CEO of that company can certify the document.

Dear Disha,

 

Please note that PASSPORT is mandatory if the proposed director is a foreign national.

Also, if Father's name proof is not available it is OK. It is not mandatory for a foreign national.
