2 POINTS have to keep in mind. 1). Deposit from Director should not be out of borrowed funds. It is necessary to take a declaration to that effect. Deposit which are not out of borrowed funds are treated as exempted deposit.  Please record these issues in the minutes. 2). If deposit is out of borrowed funds it is treated as unsecured loan and not exempt under deposit rules. See if the limits of such deposits are within the overall limits permissible under deposit rules. Finally, both exempted as well as unsecured loan from directors have to be disclosed in the accounts and DPT3
