Repatriable shares Meaning

Dear Members,

What is the meaning of issue of shares to NRI on repatriable n non repatriable basis?

Also while issuing shares if nothing was mentioned regarding repatriable or non-repatriable then what shud we treat it?
 Do FLA needs to file only incase of Non-Repatriatable shares?

Repatriability means funds can be sent back in the same currency in which it came in.....if money has come in dollars and you have followed the FEMA requirements then the same can be considered repatriable.....dividend can be remitted in dollars etc
