CONSOLIDATION OF SHARE CERTIFICATE

Dear,

please tell me that in case a shareholder holding n no. of shares bearing different distinctive nos. (not in serial) and all certificates are lost, in this case whether he can request for duplicate consolidated share certificates in lieu of share certificates lost (some of them bear serial wise distinctive nos. and some of them not). and what will be the applicable provisions of stamp duty in such case? (Stamp Duty for issue of duplicate share cert. and consolidated share certificate)

Mam,

you can make stamp " original share certificates dully stamped" and affix the same on the duplicate share certificate and  put  revenue ticket of rs. 1 on the face of the  duplicate share certificate.

it will be compliance .

it depends upon your share software. it must be latest no after last share certificate issued by your company.

thank you mam, one more thing i want to ask i.e. whether adhesive stamp of  Rs. 1 in Delhi, is good compliance or rs 10 has to be paid online.

You have to issue consolidated share certificate as per format SH 1 as given under companies Act, 2013 , a new certificate no will be for that consolidated share certificate and against distinctive no on the face of the certificate, you have to write "As on reverse" and on the back side of the Share certificate you have to mentioned the old certifcate no , no of shares and distinctive nos against that old certificate no.

Could you please share the consolidated share certificate?

Also, could you kindly confirm whether the share certificate numbering needs to start from 1, or if we should continue with the existing sequence?
