Can you please help me with my query -

can a whole time Company Secretary become Independent Director in another company as per law, Companies act 2013 , SEBI lodr and SEC -149 .

For CAs the concept of simplicitor director is in place. A simplictor director can only sit in the Board meetings and can take remuneration only for sitting fees.

I believe similar provisions will be there for members of ICSI too
