Letter of appointment for first director

Is letter of appointment is mandatory for the first director?

If yes than who will give the letter as the company is not yet incorporated?

Pls give your valuable suggestion.

I saw the consent letter format but in my opinion you need to cover your risk by adding a few more points. Besides please ensure address and id proof is attached to consent letter.

i am attaching a format to safeguard our interest. pls comment.

But I have to clarify in case of new company, who will give the letter of appointment as the company is still not incorporated.

And in DIR   -12 it is mandatory attachment ..So how to file the form?
