Internships at SEBI
I. Numbers of Internships
i. The maximum number of such Internships provided by SEBI would be 22 (12 Internships to Management Students in Summers, 5 Internships to Law Students in Summers & 5 Internships to Law Students in Winters).
II. Role of Institutions
i. No application will be received directly from the students. All the applications for internship will have to be received through the educational institutes.
ii. Only one application per institute forwarding CV's of all students interested/recommended for taking up internship with SEBI will be entertained in an academic year. No further requests for internships by the same Institute would be entertained.
iii. How to Apply : All applications should be mailed to SEBI at h...@sebi.gov.in for summer Internship (Management Institutes & Law Schools). For undergoing Internship in period April-July application received latest by December 31 of previous year would be considered. For winter Internship (Law Schools) for undergoing Internship in period December - January application received latest by August 31 of that year would be considered . Application to be sent in prescribed format as per Annexure - A.
III. Eligibility
i. General Stream: Students pursuing full time Post Graduation courses in Management/Finance/ Economics would be eligible for apply for Summer Internship in General Stream and should have completed 2 Semesters/1 year before commencement of such Internships.
ii. Legal Stream: Students pursuing full time Bachelors/Masters courses in Law would be eligible for apply for Summer Internship in Legal Stream and should have completed 8 Semesters/4 Years before commencement of such Internships for Bachelors courses and should have completed 2 Semesters/1 year for Masters courses before commencement of such Internship.
IV. Period & Place of Internship
i. Internships would be offered for a period of 4 weeks to 8 weeks.
ii. Internships would be offered only in Head Office of the Board in Mumbai.
V. Remuneration
i. These 22 Interns would be eligible to receive monthly stipend of Rs. 7,000/- per month, subject to minimum Internship period of 4 weeks & maximum of 8 weeks.
ii. Interns would be entitled for availing Accommodation on sharing basis (subject to availability).
VI. Other Requirements
i. Declaration of Secrecy : All students would be required to furnish a declaration of Secrecy to the Board.
ii. Students would be required to submit 1 hard copy and soft copy of their project report to their Project guide & HRD Division. In case the report is of confidential nature, the students would not be allowed to share the report with anyone outside SEBI.
iii. Internship undertaken with SEBI would not entitle the intern for any job/position in SEBI on account of undertaking internship with the Board.
