No, consent in Form DIR-2 is not a mandatory attachment with Form DIR-3 for obtaining a fresh DIN where the applicant does not yet have a DIN.
Form DIR-3 is filed under Section 153 of the Companies Act, 2013 for allotment of DIN to a person intending to become a director in an existing company. The MCA instruction kit for DIR-3 specifies the mandatory attachments generally as:
- PAN (for Indian nationals)
- Proof of identity
- Proof of residence
- Photograph
- Verification/signature requirements
