The name as shown in the master data of a Company is not as per its Certificate of Incorporation. What steps should be taken for the master data correction in name of the Company.

Raise a challan on MCA by clicking user complaints and Grievances button, it's on left side on MCA21 site

Its a clerical mistake. You don't need to follow name change procedure for it :/

just take a copy of the approved MOA.....and the form duly filled and signed by authorised signatory....master data correction will be done...if it is a clerical mistake

- first go to MCA 21 master data
- Then click on print button
- Take the print and on the right side u can see the column for master data correction.
- Write the required correction and the submit the doc with the COI to the respective ROC office then they will update master data

They will not entertain this procedure I recently had gone through this procedure in my client case roc Delhi officials refused they simply said it your master data will automatically updated when you will file annual report of the company.

but ROC kerala during last year has allowed such change and they corrected the name as per the fresh certificate of Incorporation

As per Companies Act, Company is incorporated under law but it can act as an Individual person. It has all the rights like human being. But being an artificial person created by law, it cannot act on its own.
Hence, a board is formed to run the business and members of the board gets authorisation by passing a resolution in their meeting. The Board Resolution is valid only when the same was signed by the chairman of the meeting.
Board resolution is the only proof that the subject was taken for consideration by the board of directors.

No column for Master Data correction, either on Left or Right Hand Side.
If possible, please E-mail the Screen Shot reflecting the column for Master Data correction.
