Dear all.

One of my client company has received FDI through automatic route. Now for filing FCGPR part A with RBI, we need the Unique identification number (UIN) allotted by RBI for that specific FIRC.

But in our case, UIN has not been allotted by RBI yet. This FDI has been received by Company 2 months ago. The authorized dealer bank has asked to file FCGPR Part A without filling UIN in it.

Please suggest whether such practice is allowed or we need to wait till UIN is allotted by RBI in this case.

Thanx in advance!!!

Regards,

CS Ashwini Shah

Dear Ashwini,

Before filing  FC GPR Part A to RBI you have issue the share & file Form 2 also. In FC GPR part A about my experience RBI asking the UIN.  Before getting UIN filing of FG GPR Part A the AD also not accepted.  If AD accepted their action also questionable.

Dear Ashwini,

In my view, you can had a talk with Regional office RBI for getting UIN and they will assist you properly and by the time you can file Form FC-GPR by writing UIN as AWAITED.

Thanks and Regards

Yaah you can file fcgpr mentioning that once after receipt of uin u will resubmit with uin. Banker is responsible to get uin after filing necessary declaration of receipt of amont. Hence pls coordinate with banker to get uin.

Non allotment of UIN No. is not a valid excuse for not filing FCGPR.

Non intimation of FIRC (Intimation) on time is a default and not filing FCGPR on time is a different offense.

Why delay filing of FCGPR? Please go ahead and file FCGPR.
