Can Interim Dividend paid after financial year end-reg MOST URGENT

Dear friends

One of the company wants to declare dividend after the financial year end and before AGM can it do so ???

Example:

Financial Year - 01.04.2012-31.03.2013

Board Meeting held after financial year - 22.06.2013 (for declaration of Interim dividend)

Co. is in process of finalizing books of A/c's.

My Question ??

Can the Board of Directors declare Interim Dividend for the FY 2012-13 in the BM held on 22.06.2013.

Please treat this as urgent.

yes u can be.

Once Board recommended final dividend and AGM approved that, you cannot declare interim dividend for that period.

I mean no interim dividend for the same year for which u have declared final dividend.

yes.. I don't see any bar in doing so; any dividend declared between two agm.s would be an interim dividend...
