Dear Professional Colleague

I am writing to your goodself on behalf of the Company Secretaries Benevolent Fund (CSBF), a Society registered under the Societies Registration Act, 1860 and is recognized under Section 12A of the Income Tax Act, 1961. The CSBF was established in the year 1976 by the ICSI, for creating a security umbrella for the Company Secretaries and/or their dependent family members in distress. The subscription/donation to CSBF qualifies for deduction under Section 80G of the Income Tax Act, 1961. My earnest request to your goodself is to become a proud Member of CSBF, if not by now, upon making one-time subscription of Rs. 7500 along with Form ‘A’ (attached), duly filled and signed. Your goodself is also requested to encourage other professional colleagues to follow.

Presently, the benefits provided by the CSBF are as under:

 

Financial assistance in the event of death of a member of CSBF

  • Upto the age of 60 years - Group Life Insurance Policy for a sum of Rs.5 lakh
  • Above the age of 60 years – Upto Rs.2 lakh in deserving cases on receipt of request subject to the guidelines

Reimbursement of medical expenses

  • Upto Rs.60,000 in deserving cases on receipt of request subject to the guidelines

Education allowance

  • Upto Rs.40,000 per child (one time) subject to maximum of two minor children of the deceased member of CSBF
