I shared the proposal document sent by our website vendor with Manoj Birje ( I think you know him!)

He has given following comments on the same. (below mail!)

 

also, I am unaware about , which webspace we are going to host our website? existing of Monish's server or New webspace and how much will be recurring cost of the same? AND  who will do the updates and corrections required on routine basis?

 

Can he show us the website through his own website ( link as given earlier) before making making it live as time of 15 days to give corrections/modifications is too short.

 

What is the amount sanctioned Rs. 30000 or 35000/-? + Rs.2500/- for hosting charges.

Also, to process the payment we require his Invoice?

Can we try it for ITS 2011? where people will register online and send cash/dd/ cheque etc. to SBI directly.

 

Also, I request you to take out time to put proper information in all the tabs.

Which emails should we configure thru the website? and how we can access those?

I hope you will be able to arrange a training session to convey all the technical information regarding the website and on how to update the information/ calendar/ database of registered people and programme registrations etc.

 

A think a lot more needs to be done before we make it live.

We will configure Google Apps Standard Version, this will give you ability to add & use up to y...@yourdomain.com email IDs with 7GB storage space each. And also use other features like Google Docs, Calendar on your domain.

PS: The test URL is active for last 2+ months. We can keep it active for more time if needed.

The grace period of 15 days is for free support & critical bug-fixing AFTER the GO-LIVE of the site. We can extend the same to 2 months, but this period will only cover technical bug-fixing & additions to functionality.

 

 Do we have the control panel userid and password?

PS: We will provide login details for webserver control panel, FTP server & also that of the CMS admin user.

 If we want to extend the web space, how much would be the charges?

PS: Webspace charges are Rs 2500 for up to 250MB space. Additional space can be purchased at Rs 2000 per 250MB. For space requirement beyond 1 GB, we will provide a quote at the time of requirement. 

 

 Can we create and publish dynamically managed content?

PS: Yes, the site is built using leading open source CMS Drupal (www.drupal.org). Entire content on the site can be managed by admin users easily. 

 

 which database are we using and its userid and password?

Drupal is build using PHP + MySQL.  We will provide admin user name & password for the same.
