Dear Committee Members,
Finally, the renovation work at Chapter
will be through from Monday.
We have received three quotations from
three different vendors based on their respective designs.
The dsicussions with these vendors were
carried out. A sub committee consisting of Vasant Sathe, S P Karandikar and
Rahul Pore shortlised one of the vendors.
With a objective to keep the cost at the
minimum and avoid unncessary costs, we have decided to restrict the scope of
work to Civil work and electrification in Stage 1 and later on decide the stage
2 - Furniture and Storage units etc. will be undertaken. The quotations exclude
the equipments cost like A.C Unit LCD Projector, Inverter & its Batteries,
as CSI can purchase these directly. The role of vendor will be restricted to
fixing and installation.
As decided for now, existing tables and
chairs will be utilised for one more year as it is.
Based on next year's activities/
performance, further costs may be committed.
The last bottleneck was in the form of
shifting of Office records. Special thanks to S P Karandikar sir, who arranged a
room in his friend's bunglow to keep the records for 1-2 months. We need to pay
some token rent may be Rs. 2000/- pm approx. for the same. ( not decided as yet
SPK will take of it!)
The Tables and chairs will be kept at the
Watchman's quarters in the Prabhat House - CSI Office building with permission
from Shri. Damle. ( also need to pay a small amount.) The final design and
quotation is attached.
Finally, today the records and furniture
is shifted from CSI office and work can start monday onwards.
During the period of renovation, we may
need to keep the office closed for some days as flooring work and eletrical
fitting work is done for which complete vacant office is required. During these
days, the office will be operated from my personal office.
We are planning the inauguration on 23/24
March, 2011 ... the dates given by CSI President Dr. Trimoorthy in his
yesterday's visit to Office.
I take this opportunity to specially
mention efforts of Shri S P Karandikar and Shri Vasant Sathe and strong support
from Chairman shri. Ashok Pawar during the entire course of
action.
This is going to be a mile stone in the
history of CSI Pune Chapter.
I thank all the committee members and
Shekhar sir for their support and cooperation.
Thanks & regards,
Rahul
