How to add new codec ?

Anyone knows that how to add new codec to csipsimple? According to my understanding, g.729 is codec not supported by pjsip, but added by author. 

can you tell me how to add new codec to the application. what's the steps?

Hi,

Adding a new codec is done in pjsip not in CSipSimple.

So it's more a question for pjsip project even if you can get inspiration from what is done in csipsimple to add codec2, aac, g729 etc codecs.

Once you have this codec added in native code to pjsip lib, it's easy to add in csipsimple by using the codec plugin api.

Thank you for your reply. So what I need to do is add the codec to pjsip and compile it . and add it to the codec plugin api like codec2,acc ,g729 etc. Is it right?

Another question, I search a lot about add codec to pjsip ,but I am not much clear about the steps, would you please give some advices about the steps? I'll be very appreciate for that.

PS: Some time I can't open some sites cause my location. So I can't get some information or solutions already solved by people.
