The Internet Architecture Research Laboratory of Telcordia
Technologies is seeking researchers in the following areas:
- Internet architecture and services
- Mobile and wireless computing and communications
- Open programmable network architectures
- Middleware and component-based systems
- Context-aware IP switch
- Policy-based networking
- IP contact center for E-commerce applications
- Voice-enabled applications and systems
- Multimedia protocols and applications
- Network and service management for packet networks
The Internet Architecture Research Laboratory of
Telcordia's Applied Research area (see www.argreenhouse.com) is
located in Morristown, NJ, USA, within easy reach of New York City and
several major universities. Most of the Laboratory's approximately
100 researchers hold advanced degrees in computer science and related
areas. Collegial interdisciplinary interaction with researchers and
business units across Telcordia, as well as with universities, is
strongly encouraged. The Laboratory provides a unique opportunity for
people attracted to work on technically demanding problems whose
solutions have direct, real-world application.
Telcordia Technologies is one of the world's largest providers of
operations support systems, network software and consulting, and

Candidates should have a PhD in Computer Science, Electrical
Engineering, Communications Engineering or related disciplines; MS
candidates with strong records will also be considered. An Equal

Fuchun Joseph Lin is a research director and chief scientist in
the Internet Architecture Research Laboratory of Applied Research
area of Telcordia Technologies (Formerly Bellcore). He received his
Ph.D. in Computer Science from the Ohio State University and his BS and
MS in Computer Science from National Chiao-Tung University in
Taiwan. He manages research projects on Intelligent Network (IN) and
Internet Integration, Next Generation Networks, Context Aware IP
Switch, and all IP Contact Center in Telcordia Technologies.
