3-minute TALKIES

(formerly known as Off the Cuff)

The Talking Challenge 

 

The speaking event. 

The better you express, the better will be your chances to win. 

The event will comprise of two rounds :

1. Prelims

All the participants will be distributed into groups of 5-7 depending on the total participation. Each group will be given a topic to discuss which will mostly be taken from common GD questions and case-studies asked in placements, for students to get a feel of the actual placement scenario. Depending on individual performances, 1-2 students from each group will be then selected for the final round.

2. Mains

In the final round, each finalist will be called onto the stage, asked to pick a chit; and then given 3 minutes to think about his topic, following which he will then speak for 3 minutes exactly.


Rules:


1.  Students must maintain discipline and behave well during the GD round. Unnecessary interruptions will be strictly given negative points.

     2.         The students must follow the word of the volunteer monitoring each group.

3.     No participant should contact the organizers with special requests. The rules are binding for all.

4.    Time limits should strictly be taken care of.

5.    No extra time will be awarded to anybody for any reasons.

6.     The CSI-DTU society reserves the right to modify the contest rules without any prior notice.
