to C# Guide
The Start Page is on the left side of IDE, while the Solution Explorer
appears in the right side. Once the mouse pointer moves into Toolbox,
it slides out towards the right and cover some portion of Start Page
section. When the mouse pointer touches the Start Page, the Toolbox
slides back to its original position.
On the topmost is the File, Edit, View, Tools, Test, Window, and Help
menus. Underneath is the toolbar which starts with New Project, Add
New Item, Open File, Save Selected Items, Save All, Cut, Copy, Paste,
Undo, Redo, Navigate Backward, Navigate Forward, Start Debugging,
Solution Platforms, and Find in Files icons. Usually I disable the
Start Page so that it speeds up the IDE performance by clicking Tools,
then Options, then Environment, then Startup, then choose Show empty
environment, and click OK to exit setting. I close the program by
clicking File, and then Exit. So, the next time, when I launch
Microsoft Visual Studio shortcut, the IDE environment starts up almost
instanteously.
