Headquartered in Chennai, with a presence in the US and UK, Vembu offers flexible, reliable, and cost-efficient cloud based IT solutions. Vembu’s data protection solution, Vembu BDR and file sharing solution, Vembu FileShare together provide an affordable platform for Managed Service Providers, Managed Hosting Providers and Value Added Resellers.
Vembu was started in 2004 by a team of IITM alumni and it continues to run by a set of IITians both in Chennai and in Dallas, USA. Vembu has about 150 employees right now and are expanding.
Vembu promotes a very open, silicon valley like culture of flexible dress code, working hours, work from home policies and vacation/leave policies. In fact Vembu doesn’t record how many holidays you take. The unlimited vacation policy is the next generation way of running a company where the company treats employees as adults and trusts the employees to manage their days-offs .
The office space boasts cabin-less open office work area where everyone including the CEO sits on the same floor - promotes free discussions with everyone in the company. Position offered to the Student would be Software Engineer–Trainee. He/She will undergo training for a period of 6 months to 1 year, thereafter based on performance and aptitude will move into functions of Software Development or Technical Architects or System Analysts or Quality Assurance or Technical Support or Network Operations.
CTC ranging from 2 L to 3 L p.a, no variable or other hidden components in the CTC
No service bonds
Eligibility -Students from BE/B.Tech of the 2014 Batch, any branch/stream, should have first class upto last semester without any backlogs, should have above 80% marks in X and above 85% marks in XII
About the Selection Process:
Half an hour Presentation about the Company, followed by a brief Q&A session
Test would be an online test (each candidate would require a PC), General aptitude, objective type, for 1.5 to 2 hours, no negative marks.
Results will be declared in 30 minutes
If time permits, shortlisted candidates will be interviewed at the Campus. The balance will be invited to Chennai office for Interviews.
Offered candidates list will be shared with the Institution.
