The Tamil Nadu Electricity Board (TNEB) is the electricity board of the Tamil Nadu State providing power generation and distribution related facilities to the state. Formed on 1st July 1957, the Board has been consistently working towards the generation of power and electricity networks in the villages and towns of the state. The Board was restructured in the year 2010 as the Tamil Nadu Generation and Distribution Corporation Ltd. (TANGEDCO) AND Tamil Nadu Transmission Corporation Ltd. (TANTRANSCO).

Academic Eligibility:
The candidates should have degree in either of the following Graduation/ Post Graduation/ Diploma of any recognized university/ institute/ college of India as per the requirements of the job position for which application has been made. Refer Official Notification for the complete details. The candidates applying for the post of Engineers should hold a bachelor degree in engineering which can be either B.Tech /B.E. for this purpose.

Age Boundation:
The qualifying age for all the applicants applying to the above posts is 30 years as the maximum age for the recruitment. The candidates deserving relaxation in ages will be given as per the rules of the government framed for this purpose.
Selection Criteria:
The candidates will be required to appear in a written exam held on the dates as specified by the TNEB for this purpose. The candidates qualifying in the written exam will be shortlisted on the basis of their performances in the concerned exam to be called for the Interview held after the written exam for all the shortlisted candidates.
Application Details:
The candidates who wish to apply for the TNEB Recruitment can do so in either online or offline modes before the last date as prescribed by the website for this purpose in the manner as given in the official notification. The online mode of application requires the scanned images of the photograph and documents of academic qualifications. The candidates can apply online from the official website of the TNEB i.e. tneb.in.
The offline registration requires the offline filling up of Application Forms downloaded online from the official website and necessary documents attached with it. The complete application should be sent before the last date of application to the postal address as stated in the notification.
