INVITATION FOR PARTICIPATION IN BITWISE 2012

Bitwise 2012 just 3 days away.

Enigma has started.

Every year, the Department of Computer Science and Engineering, IIT Kharagpur organizes a time-constrained, algorithm-intensive, online programming contest, Bitwise. This year, in association with Facebook, we have launched the 2012 edition of Bitwise. It gives us immense pleasure to invite you to participate in the event.

Bitwise (US $4000 at stake!)

Bitwise is a state-of-the-art online programming contest. The contest is time constrained and challenges programmers with some of the toughest programming and algorithmic problems in a short span of 12 hours. The contest will be held on 12th February 2012, for a period of 12 hours (IST 1600 hrs onwards). The participants would be expected to code their solutions to the problems in C/C++ or JAVA. The contest presents a great way to showcase one's individual talent at an international scale and benchmark against the best in the world. At the same time, solving the challenges is a lot of fun! 

Moreover, there are prizes worth more than US $4000, along with recruitment opportunities with our sponsors. Bitwise 2011 attracted over 5000 participants from organizations, universities and institutes spread over 80 countries. This time it is going to be even larger.

Enigma

Enigma is a puzzle game which was incorporated as a part of Bitwise 2007. Due to its immense popularity, it's back with another twisted set of questions especially designed to tantalize your brain. Enigma will be held on 5th February 2012 (IST 1600 hrs onwards). There are a total of 30 levels, each accompanied by a pictorial clue and requiring a password to unlock it. Exciting goodies for the few lucky winners who complete all the levels at stake!
