You can go to college and collect your provisional certification
letter from the exam cell (with the principal's signature on it) since
WBUT may take sometime to announce the 8th semester results.
This letter from the college is essential on the date of join.
People can take it next week also, official work in college is on.

   first of all congrats to all of u who got their joining on 26th july.And what you are saying as provisional certificate this is not actually p.c.you can rather say it course completing certificate...but if any body go without it.thats not a problem bcoz the know that course completion,degree cert and p.c only can be issued aftr final yr result..so,dont worry abt it,they make u sign a declaration form that I have not given these docs..i must give it when it will be available to me...so,dont worry and once again take care......

I have said that don't worry abt it..but if u have chances to collect it and give to cts then what's the problem..after all I  

have collect it and show to them..so frnds if u have time then do it..otherwise it is not mandatory..bcoz i have seen many ppl have not shown it..and Arnab Da(one of a co-HR with Nilansu Da)(dont worry u will be habituate with cts's DA Culture) has said to me that what my college has provided it is not actually course completion certificate..But,I personaly request u to collect it if possible..
