My Dear Students:
First, welcome all of you to join the CSDP Training Program at ZIFI.
Particularly, my special welcome goes to Mr. Asim Mirza who will come
to Beijing in April to join us. Asim started to communicate with me
approximately six months ago expressing his strong interest in Dr.
Thayer's lectures and the CSDP program at ZIFI as well.

Second, Dr. Thayer and his wife Mildred invited my wife and I to visit
him home in Carmichael a few days ago. Carmichael is a cozy small town
near Sacramento, the Capitol of the State of California. We discussed
several issues related to their next trip to Beijing, his lectures and
some possible measures to improve his class room teaching so that your
learning results can be maximized. We both found that April 15 - April
20, 2008 will be the best time window for Dr. Thayer to come to
Beijing teaching you. Dr. Thayer and his lectures are very unique not
only in China, but also in the world. He has helped quite number of
engineers worldwide to achieve the level of CSDP. I am attaching a
photo taken in Dr. Thayer's home for you to see what he and I look
.
You should appreciate and treasure the precious opportunity to listen
to his instructions soon. You are probably aware that not many people
in the world to have such a chance. I hope you will be benefited the
most during the 6 days of his lectures. To reach this goal, your goal
and also my goal, one thing that is necessary is that you must finish
the reading of the whole textbook before his lectures start on April
15. So do read the book every day, at least one hour each day from
now on. Your English reading skills can be also greatly improved.
I am still in the US, but will see all of you soon. I wish every one
of you to follow my instructions, to study hard with pleasure, to help
each other with heart, and to be finally successful.
