Participants needed for an Email Study

We are building systems to help us study how personal names that are
mentioned in email can be associated with the actual people to whom they
refer. In order to measure how well our systems can do this, we need help
creating an "answer key" that associates the correct person with some
mention of that person's first name. We need 3-4 people to help us with
this, each of whom would work for 5-10 hours. We will pay $10 per hour.

The perfect person for this study would have experience using their own
email and some experience with search engines (since you'll be searching
through a collection of about a quarter million Enron emails). You can work
in our lab using our computers, or wherever you like using your own laptop
(we can install the necessary software).

If you're interested, please contact Tamer Elsayed at tels...@cs.umd.edu.
