Hey guys-
Some quick things.
Our service has been going great these past couple of weeks. Thank
you to everyone who has come out so far. For those of you that
haven't yet, you are MISSING out. Srsly. I recognize that it's
getting to be the end of the semester and we are all jammed with work
and studying but, be thankful for what you do have (even if time
isn't really on that list right now) because many of the people we
are serving are far worse off. With that in mind, I hope you can
take a break TOMORROW, FRIDAY the 20th and come out to help serve
elders in DC. DID YOU KNOW ELDERS CAN BE EVICTED FOR CLUTTER IN DC?
Well, we will help them organize and maybe clean up some bugs in the
process. Come to the metro bus stop in front of stamp at 1pm
tomorrow. I will be the red-head wearing a UMD Catholic Terps
shirt. Or you can just yell out EMILY DILLON! and I'll find you.
Your choice. We should be back around 6pm- in time for dinner and
hanging out on Friday night.
PLEASE LET ME KNOW IF YOU PLAN ON COMING- I need numbers.
To recap:
Friday November 20- Elder Buddies, 1-6pm, meet at the metro stop in
front of stamp
I would love to see some new faces tomorrow so please don't be shy if
your friends are all busy. Come by yourself OR with friends (who
don't have to be Catholic).
Finally, there will be a WRAP UP COMMUNITY SERVICE MEETING in
December. Stay posted for the exact time and location. I'm hoping
to do the Wednesday night dinner on the 2nd at 6:45 but I'm waiting
to hear from the proper authorities for the OK.
Hope the week is going well and I'll see a bunch of you tomorrow.
