Calendar Updates for February

(1) HAITI RELIEF CONCERT THIS SATURDAY FEBRUARY 20th 7-10 pm at the CSC.  $5 Admission and all proceeds go to Catholic Relief Services. Vince Scheuerman of Atlantic Records' Army of Me is performing along with local band the Understudies.  RSVP to the facebook group Haiti Benefit Relief Concert. If you are interested in helping out for this event, let me know and I'll find something for you to do- security, money takers, publicity, decorations, food all need help.

(2) ELDER BUDDIES THIS FRIDAY. Meet at the STAMP Bus stop at 2.  We should be back a little after 5.  Wear clothes you can get dirty and bring water and a hat! Let me know if you're planning on coming please 

(3) PEACE CAMP- Special Event Sunday February 28th from 5-7:30 pm at the Perry School.  This is a community building event for all volunteers.  Come get to meet all of the other college students and young adults that work with Little Friends for Peace.  I will be leaving campus at 4 from the Stamp Bus stop if anyone wants to join.  

Peace camp will also return next Monday. Meet at the bus stop at 3:30 as always.

(4) SIMPLE HOUSE- there will be a guest from Simple House at Wednesday night dinner on the 24th.  Here's information on the organization- come if you're interested...

Simple House is an inner-city outreach whose goal is to provide material and spiritual assistance to families living in project and Section 8 neighborhoods in Washington, DC and at our newly opened location in Kansas City, Missouri.  Volunteers at A Simple House typically make a 10-month commitment beginning in August and ending in May.  During this time they are supported with room, board, and a small monthly stipend.  In addition to these amenities, life at A Simple House offers a full-time missionary many intangible benefits.
