I have been contacted by Mr Nicolas Matussevich who was born in Czechoslovakia (as it then was) in 1936 before his parents escaped Europe in 1945 and settled in New Zealand. He is now 90 years of age and has asked me who he could contact to talk about matters Czech. He just wants to touch base with Czech people and talk about his homeland.
While I am the HCG for Czechia, I am fifth generation Kiwi and not the best person for Nicholas to talk to. Nicholas needs to talk with Czechs now living in New Zealand. I have suggested he contact the Czech Club in Auckland and attend one of your social get togethers so he can engage with your members. Due to his age, I think it would be nice if you or another representative of the Czech Club could contact Nicholas and make arrangements for him to attend a Club event.
