HI

I tried to the Harvard Art media but they are stickler's for
rules, they need to have an evaluation of my undergraduate
degree, which means certified translation of my
transcripts... more expense to get an evaluation somewhere.
I have taken a graduate level writing course at the
extension with an A and they still want me to take an
English test. And they say that I cannot discuss a masters
with faculty until I have taken 6 courses. So it does not
feel like they care all that much about people, they care
about their rules. So probably not a place for me. I don't
do well with rules!

Anyways it does not sound like I will be able to
participate to the maya course this summer. But maybe I can
volunteer with the fall course and learn on my own and get
some feedback/help from TA when other people do not need him

Do you know of any other program in the area mixing art and
computing?

Anne,

The course, CSCIE-9, that Joulianna and I are taking is a mix of computational art and programming.

We are learning the software program, Processing, that uses the language of Java, an object oriented programming language. See http://processing.org/

We are also learning some circuitry material with the use of a microcontroller called Propeller, that uses an object oriented program called Spin and an assembly language program somewhat like MIPS. See http://www.parallax.com/

Check out both of them and you will the types of things that people are creating..... HTH. - Rise
