Dinghy Fleet Update

Ahoy,

As you may have noticed, there are a few new additions to the yard: a Laser donated by a member and a new-to-us Venture SE. The Laser is in storage for now until we figure out a better storage system that can handle more than three Lasers. The Venture is being commissioned and will be available for member use soon. It is a different model than our existing Ventures and has a weighted centerboard, a raised deck (yay, dry feet!), and a storage compartment in the back. This boat will require a separate signoff due to the rigging differences. Stay tuned for more information.

We also made the difficult decision to retire JY8. It would have required extensive fiberglass work  to get it back in shape. We'll also have more to share on this front as we evaluate replacement boats.

One more quick fleet update- We have acquired a new (to us)  I420 which you may see in the yard. We are in the process of commissioning and coming up with a signoff for it. Stay tuned for updates.
