Junior Teaching Workshop Sat. 7/18

Ahoy sailors, 

This Saturday 7/18 at 12:30pm there will be a roundtable discussion followed by on the water practice for juniors who are interested in teaching more, gaining confidence through practice, and building community around teaching at CSC. No registration needed - just show up! Anyone is welcome, but we are encouraging newer juniors especially to attend! Seasoned juniors - please come, too, to share your experiences, listen to others, and learn.

12:30 Roundtable discussion - It's fun to meet other teachers! This discussion will focus on building a toolkit for instructors, with a brief overview of the 5-Levels curriculum developed to support instructors and students. Share your experiences and ask questions for the benefit of your fellow instructors

1:15 On the water practice - Pair up with another junior to team teach a lesson or practice skills. You can try out ideas from the discussion and support each other to gain confidence in a friendly, low pressure environment. Practice students will be unrated/novices who happen to be around.

Note there is a late open at 11:55 due to tides, and regular lessons are cancelled.
