Cruise Description

Hop aboard clubmates for a lunch cruise down the Oakland Estuary to Quinn's Lighthouse Restaurant. Along the way, we will pass the Port of Oakland, Jack London Square, and countless interesting vessels, before docking at Quinn's, opposite Coast Guard Island.

No matter the forecast, or how hot on land, be prepared for cold, wet conditions on the water. Bring layers of warm clothing (wool or synthetic), foul weather gear--top and bottom--and a lifejacket.

I will contact all who make the sign-up, and arrange gear for those who need it. Also take along a hat, water, snacks, sunscreen, and cash for lunch. We are making reservations.

Meet at J-Dock 8:00 am sharp. The actual return time may be earlier or later than 6:00 pm.

Please only sign up if certain you (and your guest) will attend the cruise. Read below.

Out of consideration to fellow club members who may be on the waiting list and to skippers who work hard organizing these cruises, only sign up if you (and your guest) are committed to attend. If, due to unforeseen circumstances, you must subsequently cancel, remove your name (and guest's) from the cruise sign-up list asap, even if you are on the wait list. We have had too many cases of people signing up and canceling at the last minute, or simply not showing up. This is not cool; don't do it.
