We will offer First Aid/CPR and Mariners' First Aid as a combination of an online class and in-person skills session. The in-person session will be Sunday, December 7, at the Finnish Hall Ski Room, 1970 Chestnut Street, Berkeley. It will be an all day session, starting at 8:30 and ending at 4pm. The online class will be available before then.

The training will be conducted by Backcountry Medical Guides, who have done similar training for us in the past. They are quite good and are knowledgeable in wilderness and sailing first aid. The training meets USCG requirements (note: if you plan to use this training for a USCG license, talk to me about how to document it, as the course completion card will not suffice).

CSC will cover the cost of the training except for a $25 signup fee, which you must cover yourself.

Respond to me off list by October 15 if you are interested. There is a limited number of slots. If the training is over-subscribed, I will prioritize by rating and instructor time.

NOTE: Responding to me is not enrolling in the class. I will notify you after November 15 if you are enrolled, which will be contingent on sending me the signup fee.
