Let's take advantage of the rain to do some learning.
We're in the season – north winds and sometimes low tides at the same time. Really challenging conditions to get back to the dock. Break out the paddles, right? Wrong. It's challenging, but you can do it by sailiing. And having the skills to do it will serve you in many other situations, as it's all about sail trim.
This is a Zoom session about how to do it, and it's one of those things that are better presented/discussed on land than in the water. You need to understand what you're trying to do on the boat at a high level in order to then go out and do it.
We'll go over what happens in a north wind to make it challenging, talk about how you sail your approach and dock, and then throw in low tide as a complicating factor.
And you can do it if you are laser-focused on sail trim and use it to respond to wind shifts.
Let me know if you are interested in this off-list and I will schedule the session. I would love to do a practical session, but it is really hard to predict a good north wind even a couple of days in advance.
We will do these kinds of sessions periodically during the winter months.
