Cruise Description

Join us for a fun sail to Ayala Cove at Angel Island.  We're going to sail across a shipping channel and into Racoon Straight. We'll do a hike and have a picnic lunch with a view of the Bay and sail back to Berkeley. 

We'll plan to meet by 9:30 AM at J Dock, depart by 10:00 AM. The return time is unpredictable but estimate it around 6:00 PM.

Everyone must have a set of foul weather gear and PFD to join the cruise. You can borrow a PFD, a jacket and pants from the club.  Please pick up your gear from the club yard before coming to J-Dock. Dress in layers (synthetic instead of cotton), and be prepared for possible cold and wet conditions.

Bring water, sunscreen, sailing gloves if you have them, a hat, a picnic lunch, and some snacks.

Please be sure you can attend before signing up.

Out of consideration to fellow club members who may be on the waiting list and to skippers who work hard organizing these cruises, only sign up if you (and your guest) are committed to attend. If, due to unforeseen circumstances, you must subsequently cancel, remove your name (and guest's) from the cruise sign-up list asap, even if you are on the wait list. We have had too many cases of people signing up and canceling at the last minute, or simply not showing up. This is not cool; don't do it.

If your plans change, and you cannot make a cruise for which you've signed up, please remove yourself right away. If you don't, you'll create more work for the skippers after the lottery closes, and you will also affect other members who are on the wait list.
