Racing is on for Thursday evening, July 17th! Scheduled for 4-5pm arrival time to drop boats as soon as possible with a first start around 5pm, CSC closing time is 8:01 PM. Please visit the racing Slack Channel in case racing gets cancelled due to weather.

Sailing Instructions for CSC Races
Rules: 2021 racing rules of sailing.
Entry: No pre-registration needed. Show up, rig a boat and race. Every boat racing must have a responsible person (skipper) aboard who has:

1) A dinghy Junior rating
2) Passed the CSC racing rules test.
Any member or guest may crew, but in heavy winds (12 knots steady or higher) the crew must have basic sailing experience. This involves being able to tack, gybe, adjust the sail controls, and have a basic understanding of boat terminology.
Course: The course will be one from this diagram. See skipper's meeting for details.
Signals: Starting signal will be 3-minute audible signals sounded by an electronic starting horn buoy (Ollie*). In case of equipment failure, a whistle may be used. The signals are described in detail here. No visual signals will be made.
Scoring? Not usually. Sitting on a committee boat is no fun.
