Greetings Fellow Catholic Terp!
Grace and peace be with you.
As the summer gets started, I am sure you are as excited for what lies ahead. When I look at the year ahead, I am filled with great excitement at the opportunity that it presents for us to grow our community of faith on the campus at the University of Maryland. We will no doubt have a busy year but one that can be fruitful and rewarding for us if we unite our efforts around the Body of Christ. This past year has been such a blessing for us and I am excited to build on what we already have. That is why I am asking you to consider what role you might play this upcoming year in building our body of believers using the talents that God has bestowed on you as a vital part of the community at the Catholic Student Center. Specifically, I am asking you to come be a part of ouroutreach to the new and returning students who have not been invited into our community.
We will be holding an informational BBQ Friday August 26th at 6pm at the Catholic Student Center in the Great Room. This will be a time for us to get on the same page to see where and how we can best focus our efforts to reach and welcome new students into our community. Please come join us and bring any ideas that you may have for fall outreach. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact our FOCUS team director, Lexie Stephan at 720.339.1664 or the Catholic Student Center directly.
As an added bonus we will be getting you an early move-in date. We want you to be settled in your rooms so that you are readily available to serve the other students who are moving in. Your early move-in date would be on August 24th. Please email mary...@focusonline.org if you are interested in helping so that we can get your name on the early move-in list.
