If you check the properties of a pc in the managed devices list, and it says it has 10 Windows updates that are needed, and you create a scheduled task for Microsoft Updates that says to apply "all suitable updates" for windows, and you set it to install all vulnerability fixes - there is NO guarantee that it will install anything at all - even though the computer says it needs the updates; kaspersky security center says it needs the updates; and the updates all individually say they apply to that machine.
KSC allows for the workstations to check Windows update for themselves, and then report to KSC that a specific update is needed through the
"Find required updates and vulnerabilities" task. KSC can then manage the installation only part. This expected behavior has been confirmed by kaspersky. This is fundamentally different behavior from WSUS, which only allows the workstations to install updates that have been presented to it by the WSUS server.
