To all those thinking about attending Burning Man 2015 in terms of a Spiritual Playa-like experience:
It is important that we explore and identify all options and thoughts before the Burning Man ticket sales begin in early February, about one week from now.
Thus we need to talk now.
A conference call has been called for Saturday January 24, 2015 at 2:55 PM to 4 PM Pacific Standard Time (ending promptly at 4 PM).
There is a NEW conference call line for this purpose, accessible via dial-in or Skype. This call with not be recorded. Those not attending can contact me after the call privately for information about how the call went.
Participant access code: 319611 (plus #)
Grant and Susanna will be the facilitators , since they are not going to BM 2015.
I (Loren) will be the technical conference call host, technical call moderator, and time keeper (please keep each individual sharing round to 5 minutes or less).
I think we need to have a facilitated call before folks move forward or speak to the BORG or organizations such as CSO's TMC, Branch churches or MBE Library.
Agenda: (Times PST on January 24, 2015)
2:55 PM Dial in, synching up, saying hello's
3:00 PM Inspirational readings (pre-arranged, 5 minutes or less)
3:05 PM Silent Prayer and Daily Prayer
3:07 PM Loren reads perceived multiple visions (see below)
3:10 PM Discussion begins (5 minutes per person per round, timed)
3:50 PM 5 minutes to wrap up discussion
3:55 PM Schedule next call (if any, if needed). Goodbyes
4 :00 PM Call ends - Promptly
So far I have perceived multiple visions, some unique, some overlapping:
1. A CS at Burning Man Camp led by the Morgans that has art installations and music and faith healing as its focus. (unique)
2. A Healing Footwash Camp led by Gabriel and Amanda without the Christian Science name and open to people of other faiths. (unique)
3. A Christian Science reading room and lending library as the focus with the name Christian Science in the camp name with or without a CS lecture. (unique)
4. A group within Sacred Spaces (pro's - quiet and spiritually minded people, con's - an association with New Age? (Mary Baker Eddy called New Age with the term Theosophy in her day). (overlapping)
5. A cluster of similarly minded theme camps, independently run but separately organized and separately governed, separately financed, separate camp memberships, separate meal plans, separate ticket plans, separate travel plans, separate coordination with third parties such as default world churches and organizations, separate on-Playa transportation plans, separate radical self reliance plans in case of "emergencies" on Playa -- the only coordination would be placement coordination to be physically nearby each other. (could be unique or overlapping.)
6. Please fill in the blanks here if I am missing something.
Thanks
Loren Meissner, CS (PT)
