Immediate Opening for a Postdoctoral Fellow/Research Associate Position in the u-Health, Biosensor and Virtual Instrumentation Areas at the Chosun University, Gwangju, Republic of Korea

 

A joint home-healthcare technology project team, coordinated by Prof Lee, Jeong-A and Prof Lee, Byun, both of the Chosun University, is seeking for skillful, hard working and highly motivated candidates with good credentials to join our dynamic international team as postdoctoral researchers working on the following research topics:

• Ubiquitous Health
• Biosensors
• Virtual Instrumentation

 

Listed below are some features of this position and the expected benefits of the program for successful applicants:

 

• An economy class ticket to Korea
• Monthly Allowance of 2,000,000 won(KRW); this can be negotiated upwards for exceptional researchers

• There are no teaching obligations
• Position will be for an initial period of one year, with a possible extension of another year, contingent upon performance
• Selected researchers will be expected to publish an agreed minimum number of journal papers from their research annually
• Expected commencement date: As soon as possible
• The call will remain open until the positions are filled

 

Profile of Ideal Candidates

• PhD, preferably in Computer Engineering or related areas
• In-depth knowledge and experience in at least one of the three research areas stated in this call
• A strong research and publication record is highly desired
• Good English language skills- written and oral
• Good ability to cooperate with others in a multicultural environment
• Good ability for highly motivated independent research
