It's a story of secrets, money and politics that you’d expect to see in a John Grisham novel.

Big Sky, Big Money starts with a box of documents discovered in a meth house. From there, correspondent Kai Ryssdal, host of APM's Marketplace, unravels a tale of secretive special interest groups and millions of dollars in the remote epicenter of the battle over campaign finance laws: Montana. In that state, one of the closest Senate races in the nation hangs in the balance.

You've heard that big money is having a big impact on American elections -- this story reveals exactly how.

Big Sky, Big Money airs tonight at a special time - 9:30pm ET (check local listings).

And be sure to check out The Digital Campaign and Targeting the Electorate, two web-exclusive features that uncover how political campaigns may be targeting you this election.
