A site with many of the games that are the predicessors to many of the
original Apple ][ games has been discovered by P.Lord. The site
contains most of the original text listings from David Ahl's book,
BASIC Computer Games, originally published by Creative Computing in
1978.
You can download both zip files of the original listings or listings
that are modified to run on QBASIC. The site and listings as well as
good historical information is at http://www.moorecad.com/classicbasic/index.html
