[cs501] 2010 Paper reading/critique

Requirements:
1）Produce a slide for your reading paper.
做到能够讲解（时间控制在30~40分钟）。如果能找到原作者提供的也可以，结合自己的修正更好。
给每位同学指定的文章如下，一般是10~15页的文章，有的文章大约20~30日，自己可以酌情阅读15页左右内容，都看完更好。
文章原文可以自己下载，或者从这里下载：

我们计划从2010/5/17开始安排学生讲，每次课可以安排3个人。可以自荐，或者教师指定。
The slide is due on May 16, 2010. Please send it to me and TA with "CS501-2010-AssignSlide-YOURID" as the subject.

2）Write a report for paper critiques. The report should be written in Chinese.
Make critiques in accordance with the  critique template.
有的文章是suvey或者tutorial，自己酌情调整要写的内容。
The report is due on May Dec.23, 2010.Please send it to me and TA with "CS501-2010-AssignCritique-YOURID" as the subject.

critique template

a)Summarize the key main ideas (each in 1 sentence.)
b)State the main contribution of the paper
c)Critique the main contribution
    * Rate the significance of the paper on a scale of 5 (breakthrough), 4 (significant contribution), 3 (modest contribution),
2 (incremental contribution), 1 (no contribution or negative contribution). Explain your rating in a sentence or two.
    * Rate how convincing the methodology is: do the claims and conclusions follow from the experiments? Are the
assumptions realistic? Are the experiments well designed? Are there different experiments that would be more
convincing? Are there other alternatives the authors should have considered? (And, of course, is the paper free of
methodological errors.
    * What is the most important limitation of the approach?
d)What lessons should system researchers and builders take away from this work.
