Title: Building Addictive Education: Accelerating Learning with Social
Rewards and Game Mechanics.
Abstract: Brainworth is an Australian startup building a platform to
create personalised curriculums in a game environment. The platform's
focus is facilitating social learning, where student's ability to work
in teams can be developed and quantified. In this seminar, Founder &
CEO Ben Sand will share the research his team has done into building
highly compelling game environments to increase student engagement
with educational material.
Bio: Ben Sand founded Brainworth in 2010 to revolutionise education.
He has brought together a team of 12 psychologists, artists,
developers and games industry professionals to build a platform
capable of reaching this vision. Prior to Brainworth, Sand has worked
in several startups as a developer and game producer.
